Boxing has a long history of the children of legendary fighters following in their parents’ significant footsteps. And the next to do so is Aaron Marquez.
Marquez is the son of Rafael Marquez, the International Boxing Hall of Fame inductee who won world titles at bantamweight and junior featherweight, and whose first three fights with Israel Vazquez featured amazing action.
According to Bxstrs Promotions, Aaron will compete at featherweight for his professional debut, which is scheduled for April 18. His bout is a four-rounder. The opponent was not named.
The event will take place at the Centro de Convenciones de la Isla San Marcos, coinciding with the start of Feria de San Marcos – a national fair in Aguascalientes, Mexico.
It will air on ESPN Knockout, ESPN Deportes, Televisa and Canal 5.
