Former light heavyweight and cruiserweight world champion Tomasz Adamek (48-2, 29 KOs) has revealed that his next fight probably will be staged in the United States. Recently the New Jersey-based fighter withdrew from a final IBF heavyweight eliminator bout with Bulgarian Kubrat Pulev (17-0, 9 KOs) explaining that he has an opportunity to secure a much more profitable fight in his domestic Poland. However, it seems that the plans misfired.

Despite recent rumors, Adamek definitely ruled out a possibility of securing a rematch against his countryman, 45-year old Andrew Golota (41-9-1, 33 KOs), who lost by knockout to the other Pole, Przemyslaw Saleta (44-7, 22 KOs) last month.

“Each boxer fights until he is fit enough. In my opinion Golota should have retired a few years ago. If you don’t have speed and your footwork doesn’t work, you have to leave this sport,” Adamek added.
