BoxingScene.com has learned that Adrien Broner must weigh in tomorrow morning at 9:30am and be no higher than 140-pounds in order for tomorrow's fight with Vicente Escobedo to happen. Earlier today, Broner missed the 130-pound super featherweight limit by a whopping 3.5-pounds. His team and the team representing Escobedo spent the rest of the day trying to negotiate terms that were fair to both sides.
Escobedo still gets to fight for the WBO super featherweight title, while Broner is now stripped of the belt. If Broner wins on Saturday, the title becomes vacant. Broner was also fined 20% of his $300,000 purse, with half of that money going to Escobedo and the other half going to the Ohio Athletic commission.
