Several undercard bouts have been announced for Golden Boy Promotions’ upcoming show on March 14 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
Two of those newly announced bouts will be part of DAZN’s main broadcast: Alexis Rocha vs. Joseph “JoJo” Diaz Jnr, and Joel Iriarte vs. Rock Myrthil.
The card will be headlined by a welterweight fight between Arnold Barboza and Kenneth Sims Jnr, and will also include two title matches. In one, unified strawweight champion Oscar Collazo will defend against Jesus Haro. In the other, undisputed flyweight champion Gabriela Fundora will face Viviana Ruiz Corredor.
Rocha, 25-2-1 (16 KOs), was supposed to have a rematch with fellow welterweight contender Raul Curiel in January but pulled out due to issues with cutting weight. The 28-year-old Rocha’s last fight was the first collision with Curiel, a draw in December 2024.
Diaz, 34-8-1 (15 KOs), has seemed shopworn at just 33 years old. He has lost four of his last five appearances, including three in a row in fights where he came in just shy of 138lbs. Those defeats were a split decision to the 24-5 Jesus Antonio Perez Campos; a ninth-round stoppage against Oscar Duarte; and a split decision to the 22-6-1 Abraham Montoya.
Diaz then rebounded with an eight-round win last June over a 6-4-1 foe before losing a unanimous decision to Regis Prograis at about 142lbs in August.
Rocha vs. Diaz is scheduled for 10 rounds at welterweight.
Iriarte, 9-0 (8 KOs), is a 22-year-old welterweight prospect who has been developing on Golden Boy’s shows. His last win came against the 8-4 Eduardo Hernandez Trejo in September.
Myrthil is 17-2-1 (13 KOs) and has not won a fight since February 2020. He was knocked out by the 9-2 Kevin Johnson in 2021, suffered the same fate against Sims in 2022, and fought to a draw with a 9-5 foe in his last bout, in August 2023.
Iriarte vs. Myrthil is scheduled for eight rounds.
A preliminary undercard streaming on Golden Boy’s YouTube channel will feature:
- Grant Flores, 12-0 (9 KOs), against an opponent still to be announced in an eight-round junior middleweight bout.
- Cayden Griffiths, 7-0 (6 KOs), against an opponent still to be announced in a six-round welterweight bout.
- Dylan Capetillo against an opponent still to be announced in a four-round junior welterweight bout.
- Fabian Guzman, 9-0 (8 KOs) vs. Julian Delgado, 9-1 (4 KOs), in an eight-round middleweight bout.
- Daniel Garcia, 12-0 (9 KOs), vs. Blas Caro, 12-9 (5 KOs), in an eight-round lightweight bout.
- Leonardo Sanchez, 9-0 (7 KOs), against an opponent still to be announced in a six-round junior lightweight bout.
