Andreas Katzourakis and Roberto Cruz both made weight for Friday’s OTX 13 junior middleweight headliner in Houston, Texas. Katzourakis came in at 153.8lbs and Cruz hit the scales at 153.6lbs. 

Cruz, 11-0 (7 KOs), has only previously fought in one eight-rounder and last fought over a scheduled six, but will take on Katzourakis over 10 rounds. His last four fights have ended inside the distance. Before that, he won a split decision over Daniel Baiz over six rounds, his closest shave so far as a professional. He has not fought since April 2024. 

Katzourakis, 15-0 (10 KOs), is the higher-ranked and more developed fighter, having won his last three fights over the 10-round distance (and two of them by split decision). He last defeated Brandon Adams, a quality win – Adams had not lost since falling to Jermall Charlo in 2019 and remains the only man to stop the granite-chinned Serhii Bohachuk. The 27-year-old Katzourakis is Greek by birth and lives in Houston, so he will enjoy the lion’s share of fan support on Friday.

The undercard includes hyped prospect Elijah Lugo, who made his professional debut on a Philadelphia ProBox TV card and won a four-round decision against boxing novice Andre Johnson. Lugo will take on Chris Porter in another four-round summit at middleweight. Lugo weighed in at 160.6lbs, 1.1lbs heavier than he did against Johnson. Porter was 160.8lbs. 

Also featured on the undercard is Giovanni Marquez, son of former fighter Raul, who will meet Esteban Munoz over eight rounds.
