Andrii Novytskyi and Alexander Flores made their heavyweight bout official for Friday at Thunder Studios in Long Beach, California.

Novytskyi weighed in at 244.6lbs, and Flores tipped the scales at 266.7lbs, over 20lbs heavier.

Novytskyi, 15-0 (11 KOs), will be fighting for the first time this year. He enters the fight on an 11-month layoff, the longest of his career. In May, Ukraine’s 30-year-old Novytskyi, who trains in Los Angeles, knocked out David Zegarra in one round. The time off dramatically contrasts the beginning of his career, as Novytskyi fought 14 times from his pro debut in February 2023 until December 2024.

Flores, 21-5-1 (19 KOs), has knocked out his past two opponents, including a January stoppage of Cassius Chaney in the same venue. Flores, a 35-year-old from Rowland Heights, California, was originally set to face Novytskyi on March 27.

In the co-feature, women’s lightweight Chelsey Anderson, 8-0-1 (3 KOs), hit the scales at 134.2lbs for her rematch with Alejandra Rojas Rivera, who made the 135.0lbs limit on the dot.

The 35-year-old Anderson took a two-year hiatus after defeating fringe contender Aida Satybaldinova in 2022. Anderson, of Yorba Linda, California, returned in 2024, winning two fights before her draw with Rojas Rivera in January.

Rojas Rivera, 5-3-3 (1 KOs), has a unique record that goes beyond the numbers. She has three draws and two split decision losses – a lot of close fights. Rojas Rivera, a 29-year-old from Mexico City, has gone 1-1-1 in her past three fights.
