Undefeated Australian featherweight Tyler “The Wizard” Blizzard will face countryman Rocky Ogden on the Jai Opetaia-Claudio Squeo card at the Gold Coast Convention Centre in Broadbeach on May 13.
Blizzard, 9-0 (4 KOs), is the Australian champion and originally from Launceston in Tasmania. Ogden is 7-2 (5 KOs) and lives on the Gold Coast, Queensland, and had more than 40 Muay Thai bouts before switching to boxing.
“Fighting for the IBF Pan Pacific title is a step towards my dream of becoming world champion,” said Blizzard. “Rocky is a tough competitor, but I’m ready to put on a show for the fans and take another step toward a world title.”
Ogden, 25, said: “Competing for the IBF Pan Pacific title in my hometown is an incredible honor. Tyler is a skilled fighter, but I’m confident in my preparation and ready to seize this moment.”
