The next bout in the career of fast-rising Irishman Callum Walsh will take place on Saturday, June 21.

“King” Callum, from Cork, returns to Southern California where the Tom Loeffler-promoted 13-0 (11 KOs) prospect meets Elias Espadas, who is 23-6-1 (16 KOs) and from Yutican, Mexico.
They will fight at the Chumash Casino Resort with the bout aired on UFC Fight Pass.

The southpaw hope, trained by Hall of Famer Freddie Roach, is up against the Manny Robles-coached Espadas, who has been in with the likes of Xander Zayas and D’Mitrius Ballard.

Espadas went 10 hard rounds with in a draw with Sadriddin Akhmedov in April.

Of the 10-round junior middleweight main event, Loeffler said: “Following his show-stopping knockouts in front of huge crowds in Dublin, Ireland and New York City, we’re excited to bring boxing’s hottest young international star, Callum Walsh back to Southern California. Elias Espadas just fought to a draw in a sensational junior middleweight clash against undefeated Sadriddin Akhmedov on April 19 and jumped at the opportunity to face another world-class fighter.”

Walsh is already ranked No. 4 by the WBC and No. 5 by the IBF.
