In Monday’s episode of “Deep Waters” on ProBox TV, analyst Chris Algieri calls unified junior featherweight champion Naoya Inoue his favorite fighter, and describes the joy of waking in the early-morning hours in the United States for an Inoue card staged in Tokyo (or elsewhere in or near the Japanese fighter’s homeland). Algieri also answers the much-debated question: How important is it for Inoue to build his presence in the United States, if at all?

Comments seem to be turned off on the Virgil Hunter article. I wanted to say he's got that same tribalism thinking. He can't even see how he's demanding of Inoue what his boy Tank has never done .Some people just can't get over Cool Boy getting effed up by Inoue. They're trying to get revenge through Tank .How about Tank go up just a little bit and fight Matias ?

Inoue's star power is on the rise. Maybe. Or maybe the hype is just ratcheting up several clicks.
This happens frequently - late-comers to the party get all excited about finding the damn party but the party is already winding down - the food is eaten the best music already got played.
Reminds me of how everyone got excited about Roman Gonzalez the 2/3 fights later he got clobbered by Sor Rungvisai not once but twice.

What is it with White Americans fascination with the Japanese? Not trying to be rayciss, just wondering...
Has nothing to do with him being Japanese and everything to do with him being good.
Liking someone because they're good in natural. Hating someone because they're good is embarrassing.
You sound like you hate him just because he's Japanese inspite of him being good. People aren't even ashamed of being haters anymore.
