Cindy Ngamba will no longer make her professional debut on Friday night.

The refugee Olympian was due to make her pro start on the Royal Albert Hall bill in London, topped by the unified welterweight title fight between Natasha Jonas and Lauren Price, but Boxxer on Thursday announced Ngamba was off the bill due to a medical issue.

A statement, issued by the promoter, read: “Cindy Ngamba will not be making her professional debut on Friday night after a pre-fight medical examination revealed an issue requiring further inspection. The health and safety of fighters remains the highest priority, and Cindy will undergo further tests in the coming days.”

Ngamba, 26, had been scheduled to fight Kirstie Bavington, 32 years old and a former opponent of Price.
