According to boxing agent Christel Aujoux, French boxer Nadjib Mohammedi (23-1, 12 KOs) will end up facing undefeated Nathan Cleverly (20-0, 10 KOs) for the WBO interim-light heavyweight this Saturday at the Echo Arena in Liverpool. Aujoux told BoxingScene.com that he reached a deal with Cleverly's promoter Frank Warren.
Cleverly is scheduled to face Alejandro Lakatos (31-5-2, 23 KOs), but there are heavy rumors floating around that Lakatos plans to withdraw because he is suffering from a bad case of pneumonia. The winner of this fight will get a shot at the winner of the upcoming January unification between WBO champion Juergen Braehmer (36-2, 29 KOs) and WBA champion Beibut Shumenov (10-1 , 6 KOs).
