Carl Froch doubled up Mikkel Kessler in punches thrown and outlanded him in eight of twelve rounds. Kessler landed 55% of his power shots, but landed just 8 of 14 per round. Froch's 1034 thrown punches are the most he's thrown in 10 of his fights tracked by CompuBox.

from a Froch fan perspective it offers some hope that he could emulate Calzaghe's high volume effort in his win over Hopkins
Froch doesn't really have the style to emulate Joe, and without that speed, Bernard would spoil any offence coming in from Froch in the way Bernard knows how. Froch's output would probably nearly half against Hopkins.
Froch missed a lot against Mikkel, but throwing over 1000 punches, something will land. Ol' crafty Bernard wouldn't stand for that.

That's almost Leo Santa Cruz numbers ain't it? Like 300 punches short.
Only difference is Froch did it vs real competition.
