Adrien Broner was more accurate and landed the harder punches, but never visibly hurt Paulie Malignaggi, who landed an avg. of 10 of 39 jabs per round.

I think the Networks see stats as part and parcel of sports broadcasting, that's the only reason it exists. Makes me laugh when Jim Lampley rolls out the compubox stats at the beginning of every round like it's the score from the previous round.
I can't even think about Compubox without hearing Lampley. Almost every time I think, "Those numbers can't possibly be right."

Ah, the power of suggestion...I could hear Lampley's voice in my head as I read this. lol
We agree; it's just a gimmick. It wouldn't be so bad if some people didn't buy into Compubox like it's some alternate form of scoring.

Compubox is virtually useless. It means nothing to the outcome of a fight, and only creates controversy. I'd just as soon see it disappear. Who would miss it?

I agree with you, & Paluie was the perfect opponent to do that with, like when Palie said that Broner was worried & ask Paulie for advice when he fought Ponce Paulie said "broner was worried & said havent fought ten rounds before how should I do this" seems like Broner had his mind set to go the full 10rds. I feel sometimes a fighter wins but tries to look a bit bad to give food to the haters to brag & keep watching, but that's just my 2 cents. If Broner would of ko Paulie we wldn't have like 30 threads on Broner, more like 5 saying he fought a old Paulie & this & that, but look at the interests to see Broner fight again it is crazy.
On phone sorry for the way I typed & mispell word's
Not to mention that, after this fight, Paulie just climbed in the Ring rankings...
