Unreal numbers put up in this one between Francisco Rodriguez and Galal Yafai. Rodriguez was 575 of 1089, 53% and Yafai was 230 of 795, 34%. The power punch numbers were huge, Rodriguez went 528 of 969, 54% while Yafai went 189 of 559, 34%. Rodriguez set the Flyweight record for total punches landed in a 12 round fight. Yafai was brave and took several big shots, he finally hit the canvas in the final round. Scores were 119-108 twice and 118-109.

Ayala was 18-0 with wins over Rosales and Alvarado. Just because Yabuki wrecked him doesn't mean he was overrated.

Which, with hindsight included, REALLY is the stupidity especially when you consider at the time the fight happened, the 4 beltholders were Teraji, Akui, Ayala, and Olascuaga. That Ayala was rated above Teraji or Akui let alone BOTH by any organization was pure stupidity.

Pacquiao won lineal or TBRB titles in 5 divisions.
The belts are just that - belts.
And no, Teraji should not be considered the lineal champion because there was absolutely no consensus about the two best guys in the division. The TBRB, Ring, ESPN, etc. all had different guys in different orders. And winning a Ring belt does

True but I mean the "Ring champion" title is the only thing making Pacman an eight division champion although he technically only won six alphabet divisions.
Not trying to take away Pac's legacy because the opponents he beat for them were legit, but more trying to make the point that Teraji should be considered the

The Ring belt is nothing more than a promotional tool of the Saudi royal family. The TBRB championship is the true divisional championship and has been since the organization was founded.
