In Saturday’s co-main event atop the “Ring III” card at Louis Armstrong Stadium in New York City, Sheeraz violently knocked down Edgar Berlanga twice in the fourth round and stopped him seconds into the fifth.
Sheeraz landed 21 power punches in the fourth round and dropped Berlanga twice in the closing minute of the round. He might have stopped Berlanga then if he had 10 more seconds in the round. Berlanga came out shaky at the beginning of Round 5 and didn’t throw a punch before Sheeraz finished him 17 seconds into the round.
For the fight, Sheeraz landed 44 percent of his power punches.
