Swedish light heavyweight Constantino “Costas” Nanga, 12-0 (8 KOs), returns to action after over a year out. He will fight September 11 at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London on a charity event promoted by Queensberry Promotions. Nanga's opponent is to be announced.

Nanga, backed by former heavyweight king Lennox Lewis, was all set to fight current EBU champ Bradley Rea on the big show in Riyadh on February 22 topped by the Dmitry Bivol-Artur Beterbiev rematch but had to pull out due to injury.

Costas’ last fight was in Austria on June 1, 2024, where he beat the 16-0 Bernardin Jakaj via 10-round unanimous decision. But before that, a fight against tough Englishman Mickey Ellison scheduled for January 2024 fell through for reasons unknown, so Nanga probably has some ring rust to shed. He's trained by Russian coach Roman Anuchin, who these days is based in Spain, and managed by football agent Oliver Cabrera.

Nanga was born in Luanda, Angola, but was just hours away from being born in the war-torn Congo that his mother fled from. A few years later, he arrived in Sweden, where he first took up Muay Thai before turning to boxing.
