Undefeated Australian middleweight prospect Dave Toussaint (10-0, 8 KOs), who knocked out his last four opponents, is scheduled to face a son of a legend, when he takes on Shane Mosley Jr. (10-1, 7 KOs).

The fight is scheduled to take place on July 1 [July 2 in Australia], as part of the undercard to Manny Pacquiao vs. Jeff Horn at the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, Australia.

Mosley Jr., the son of former three division world champion Sugar Shane Mosley, was in action back in March when he knocked out Demetrius Walker. Mosley Jr. has been active with five fights in 2016.

This will be Mosley's first bout outside of the United States.

About 18 months ago, Toussaint quit his job as an electrician to become a full-time boxer. He saw action in November when he knocked out Junior Talipeau.

Toussaint looked up to Pacquiao as a boxing idol and never dreamed that one day he would be fighting on the undercard of one of his events - especially a card which is being billed as a the biggest boxing event in Australian history. Over 40,000 tickets have been sold for Pacquiao-Horn.

Former world champion Daniel Geale believes Toussaint can also work his way to capturing world title honors.

"As a kid growing up I always looked up to [Pacquiao], being a young southpaw, he was a little southpaw. I never thought I'd be on the same card as him," Toussaint said to the Sydney Morning Herald.

"I know Jeff [Horn] from the amateur days as well, he's a great bloke. To be a part of this massive event, it's huge for me and I'm really glad and honoured to be a part of it. Once you get in there, there's four corners in the ring and it doesn't make much of a difference. I'm just going to try and keep that in mind and not let the event get to me. The last few fights have all been higher and higher stakes, and the nerves have ramped up every time.

"It's not going to really make much of a difference. Every fight for me now is going to be as important as the one before. It just lifts every time. I've definitely taken a few risks in my career so far and they've all paid off. Again, taking on a big name like Shane Mosley Jr, it's going to be good for my career and if I win it'll excel me further than taking on some random guy. I'm happy to be taking on the challenge and happy to see what comes next."
