David Romero will get his chance to rebound from his first career defeat on Friday.

Romero tipped the scales at 142.0lbs at Thursday’s weigh-in ahead of his 143lbs catchweight bout against Carlos Lewis (142.4lbs) headlining a DMG Promotions card Friday at Thunder Studios in Long Beach, California. Romero-Lewis was elevated to the main event after a heavyweight bout between Andrii Novytskyi and Alexander Flores was postponed.

Romero, 7-1-2 (2 KOs), was most recently knocked out by Pedro Valencia in September. A 24-year-old from Los Angeles, Romero will be fighting for the first time since the stoppage loss.

Lewis is an untested fighter from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, with a record of 5-0 (3 KOs). Lewis, also 24, will be fighting in his first eight-round bout. Four of his five bouts have taken place in Oklahoma.

In the co-feature, unbeaten Matthew Jacinto, 4-0 (1 KO), weighed in at 127lbs, while Esteban Sital, 6-1 (4 KOs), came in slightly heavier at 127.6lbs for the 127lbs catchweight bout. Jacinto, of El Cajon, California, will fight for the first time this year. The 21-year-old Jacinto fought in November at the same venue, winning a six-round unanimous decision over Brandon Badillo. This will be his first eight-round bout.

Sital, a 21-year-old from Bakersfield, California, is on a six-fight winning streak after losing his pro debut to Eduardo Sanchez in June 2024. In his previous fight, he knocked out Alexis Feliciano Nunez Reyes in December.

The card will stream on TrillerTV and Swerve TV.
