World ranked contender Dierry Jean (26-1-0) headlined the 9th edition of the Fight Club series which is produced by Eye of the Tiger Management. The card took place at the Pierre-Charbonneau Centre in Montreal. Going up against Mexico's Mario Perez (15-6-4) in a fight for the NABF lightweight crown, Dierry dominated the action and recorded a TKO victory in the eighth round.

For Jean, it was his first fight since suffering his first career defeat on January 25 in Washington DC against IBF junior welterweight champion Lamont Peterson.

In a very important victory, light heavyweight Steve Franjic (12-0-1) scored a fifth round TKO over Andrew Gardiner (10-2-0) after a real war. Gardiner went down in the third and once again in the fifth when the fight was waved off.

Earlier, the reigning WBC super middleweight Fecarbox champion, Montrealer Schiller
Hyppolite (12-1-0), won by TKO at 3:00 of the fifth round over Ghanaian Mohammed Akrong (20-7-0).
