Alexander Dimitrenko (30-1, 20 KOs), the European heavyweight champion, is currently preparing for the upcoming defense of his title against dangerous former world title challenger Albert Sosnowski (46-3-1, 28 KOs) of Poland, which is scheduled for March 26 at the training facility of Universum Box-Promotion. An official press-release was recently been received by this reporter. Dimitrenko is guided by renowned coach Michael Timm and extremely happy that the wait is finally over and the bout is just days away.

Dimitrenko said: “I rejoice at the upcoming opportunity to fight again in front of my fans at my adopted homeland. This is my first clash under the German flag; I’ll conduct it in Hamburg at my native gym which is just a few meters away. This is something special for me. However, I don’t care where I defend my title. Boxing rings are identical everywhere. Sosnowski will feel my punches exactly the same way as in any other place on the Earth.

I dearly thank my beloved fans for their support and I’m glad to be finally able to please them with my performance. My promotional company, my promoters are surviving through some hard times; but it’s also the time when it becomes clear who is who in this business. It’s very important for me to get inside the ring once again and to remain active. I have clear goals and big plans for the future, especially starting from this certain fight. However, right now I’m fully concentrated on the upcoming test and my future opponent”.
