Anthony Cacace and Leigh Wood have both made weight ahead of what plenty are predicting will be a fight of the year contender in Nottingham.

They will fight for Cacace’s IBO junior lightweight title at the Nottingham Arena, in Wood’s hometown and where he stopped Michael Conlan in the most dramatic victory of his exciting career.

Cacace and Wood each came in marginally under the 130lbs limit and then went head-to-head for the usual pre-fight photographs.

“I always perform best when I’m underdog, the bookies have him favorite so I’m trying do what I do best,” said Wood.

Cacace said he was surprised at how much support he’d brought with him from Ireland. “It’s time to go,” he said. “It’s something I’ve been training for for 12 weeks, I’m just raring to go at this point.”
