Gabriela Fundora, the youngest undisputed champion in boxing today, will move into the main event for her next title defense.

The undisputed flyweight champion will face Marilyn Badillo on April 19 at Frontwave Arena in Oceanside, California. The ten-round fight, which headlines a show promoted by Golden Boy Promotions, will air live on DAZN.

Fundora, 22, of Coachella, California is coming off her defining victory so far, a seventh round stoppage of Gabriela Alaniz last November to unify all four major titles at 112 pounds.

“My last fight, I made history as the youngest undisputed champion in the world,” said Fundora, 15-0 (7 KOs), of Coachella, California, in a statement. “I am excited to make history again, this time defending my undisputed status against the very hungry Badillo. This is my first main event, and I can’t wait to show the world all the hard work Team Fundora puts in to be the best.”

Badillo, 19-0-1 (3 KOs), of Cuautitlán, Mexico is likewise undefeated. The 25-year-old will be making her U.S. debut, and last fought in December, winning a unanimous decision over Graciela Cortes.

“I worked hard to earn my spot to challenge for this undisputed championship,” said Badillo. “I am excited to make my U.S. debut and make waves in women’s boxing.”

In the co-main event, Charles Conwell, 21-0 (16 KOs), of Cleveland will face Jorge Garcia Perez, 32-4, 26 KOs) of Los Mochis, Mexico in a twelve-round junior middleweight fight. Conwell, who is rated no. 2 by the WBO and no. 3 by the WBC at 154lbs, is biding his time until he can secure a world title opportunity, while Garcia, who is rated in the top 15 by three of the sanctioning bodies, looks at this as his opportunity to establish himself as a contender.

“I’m so excited to get in the ring with someone ranked in the top 10,” said Charles Conwell. “It’s time to show the world just how good I am.”

“I feel very motivated by this great opportunity,” said Jorge Garcia Perez. “I have always dreamed of reaching the top, and this fight is the challenge that brings me closer to that goal. I feel prepared, ready, and I will give my best to come out with the victory. Thanks to my team, Zanfer and everyone that made this possible. ¡Viva Mexico!”
