MANNHEIM, Germany – Emanuel Odiase blew away Nick Webb in a round in the nominal bill topper at the SAP Arena.

Odiase, the heavyweight who was born in Germany but fights out of Wolverhampton, England, is now 11-0 (9 KOs), and the bell to start their bout sounded just after midnight here.

Odiase tried to get things going behind his jab in the opener but he came out more aggressively in the second, introducing his right hand into the mix.

Webb tried to fire back but Odiase made some room and attacked again, dropping Webb with a right that floored the man from Chertsey who remained on the canvas until the referee waved it off.

Webb is 38 and drops to 19-4 (15 KOs). He’s been stopped in all of his four defeats.

Heavyweight contender Peter Kadiru, fighting out of Hamburg, did enough over 10 rounds to defeat southpaw veteran Senad Gashi.

Gashi, 34-4 (32 KOs), a Kosovan who fights out of Spain, was open to occasional left hooks but had moments of success when he dug in during round four. Kadiru looked for openings with his right against the left hander in the sixth but Gashi was defensively sound and it looked like a distance fight was on the cards from early on.

That is how it turned out, with Kadiru winning by margins of 96-94, 98-92, and 97-93.

In his last fight, Gashi defeated former Tyson Fury victim Tom Schwarz over 10 rounds in Spain in February. Schwarz, incidentally, is the only fighter Gashi has not heard the final bell against after he was disqualified in their first meeting in April 2018.

Kadiru has sparred many of the best big men in the world, including Moses Ituama, Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua while Gashi has boxed Dereck Chisora, Carlos Takam and Kevin Lerena when he has previously ventured up in class.

Kadiru is now 23-1 (13 KOs).

Heavyweight hope Nelvie Tiafack is now 4-0 (3 KOs) after the Cameroon-born Cologne-based 27-year-old won a six-round decision over Brazilian Mateus Munhoz Da Penha, who drops to 7-3-2 (3 KOs).
