Twin brothers Ioan and Garan Croft have signed with Matchroom Boxing, the promoter announced on Thursday.

The Croft brothers are both 24-year-old prospects and former decorated amateurs from Crymych, Wales, but they are hardly carbon copies inside the ring.

Ioan – the younger brother by a minute – won gold at the 2022 Commonwealth Games and bronze at the 2022 European Championships while fighting at welterweight. Garan competed in both events as a light middleweight, winning bronze and silver, respectively.

As professionals, Garan is an orthodox junior middleweight who has gone 5-0 with two knockouts, while Ioan is also 5-0 – but is a southpaw middleweight who has thus far collected one more stoppage than his brother. The duo turned pro in December 2024 on the same card at the SETU Arena in Waterford, Ireland.

“It’s a dream come true to sign with Matchroom Boxing,” Ioan said.

"I’m grateful for the team around me who have made this possible. I want to bring big nights of boxing to Wales, and it’s time to show the world what I can do.”

The Crofts are both trained by former lightweight title contender Anthony Crolla in Manchester, England.

“My apprenticeship is almost over,” Garan said. “Very soon, I’ll be challenging for titles. It’s time to make an impact on the 154lbs division. I can’t wait to get started under Matchroom Boxing.”

Matchroom head Eddie Hearn hinted at plans already coming together for the twins over the remainder of the calendar year.

“With a legend in Anthony Crolla in their corner, they are two very talented young fighters who are eager to make their own names in the sport – and hopefully bring some major fight nights to Wales,” Hearn said.

“I can’t wait to see them get up and running, as we look to map out an important 2026 for them both.”
