Jason Moloney will continue to rebuild his career when he fights Andre Donovan at Fortitude Music Hall in Brisbane, Australia on April 23.

The Australian in December stopped Herlan Gomez in the first fight of his promotional agreement with Tasman Fighters, and in his second he will be in the main event of what represents Tasman’s second date with influential new broadcasters Stan.

Moloney, 35, lost successive fights before defeating Gomez in his first contest in his home country for over three years.

The 29-year-old Donovan is undefeated in 11 having lost two of his first three fights.

“Andre Donovan’s a quality boxer with a near 70 per cent knockout ratio,” the former WBO bantamweight champion’s manager Tony Tolj told BoxingScene. “Two come-forward guys who can really bang – it’s going to be an exciting fight.

“It’s justification to be headlining on Stan, on linear TV. Jason’s a workhorse – every day he’s in the gym perfecting his craft. He’s not gonna stop until he’s world champion for the second time.”
