Venezuelan boxer Jhoan Pérez (13-0 9KOs) has traveled over to the city of Belfast in Northern Ireland to help European junior welterweight champion Paul McCloskey with sparring. McCloskey is training for the biggest fight of his career, on April 16 against WBA junior welterweight champion Amir Khan at the MGM Arena in Manchester.

Perez was selected by McCloskey's team because of his physical strength, technical ability and his good boxing skills. For the South American boxer, this will be his second visit to the UK, where he plans to spend 12 days helping to McCloskey as a sparring partner.

After completing this experience in Ireland, the Venezuelan will return to Panama to continue his preparation under the orders of coach Jorge Zerpa.
