Jorge "Maromerito" Paez Jr. (40-9-2, 24 KOs) stopped Daniel "Galeno" Sandoval (39-5, 36 KOs) in the fourth round of a super welterweight fight from the Municipal Gymnasium of Palenque, Chiapas.

Sandoval had struggled to make the contract weight, and required a second weigh-in on Friday before squeezing down to 155.4-pounds.

In an explosive fight , Paez came out guns blazing in the very first round. A powerful left sent Sandoval down dramatically. He got up in terrible condition, but miraculously ended up lasting the round.

In the second round both fighters were involved in a ferocious exchange of punches and Paez reconnected with a left and Sandoval once again went down on his back. In the third, Paez punished Sandoval to the point where the referee came close to stopping the contest.

Sandoval suffered a bad rib injury during the third and was unable to fight any further.

"I was very satisfied with this victory, it was an exciting fight, it hit Daniel very hard. I started seeing stars several times, but my determination and defense was better than his and I connected well and got the victory. Thanks to the people of Chiapaneco who always received me Well, this win has motivated me and I will go for more," said a happy Paez.

"I hurt a rib, my respect for Jorge Paez. He connected on me very well in both knockdowns. The important thing is that we had an exciting fight," said Sandoval.

Also on the card, Emmanuel ¨Vaquero¨ Navarrete obtained another spectacular victory by securing a win by technical knockout at 2.48 seconds of the first round against a valiant Salvador ¨Chava¨ Hernández of Chiapas after sending him down three times to the canvas.

" Vaquero¨ Navarrete raises his record to 23-1, 20 KOs and Hernández falls to 16-6, 9 KOs.
