As we've heard, there is a genuine interest in making a match between two-time world champion Juan Manuel "Juanma" López (34-3, 31KOs) and fellow Puerto Rican, Abner Cotto (17-2, 8KOs).

Lopez, in his last fight, knocked out Daniel Ponce De Leon while Cotto is coming off a unanimous decision loss in a tough battle against Francisco Vargas.

"Juanma"  might be entertained to do this fight before a potential fight with Jorge Arce in late 2014 in Puerto Rico or Mexico.

"I've always said that I do not choose opponents for [that is the decision of] my promoter and manager," expressed Lopez to Mr.Boxing.
