If former welterweight champion Kermit Cintron returns on October 24 in Carolina, Puerto Rico, he will probably face Juliano Ramos (15-2, 12KOs). Ramos returns from a six round TKO loss to Mike Jones from August.
Cintron is also being considered by Top Rank as a possible opponent for Joshua Clottey on December 5. That fight would be the HBO co-feature to Kelly Pavlik-Paul Williams. There is bad blood between Clottey and Cintron. Clottey has always claimed Cintron backed away from their past negotiations for a fight. If a deal for Cintron-Clottey comes together, Cintron's Puerto Rico return is almost sure to get pushed back
