Lightweight contender Sam Noakes will return to action on a Top Tier promotion in May.
Noakes was last seen in a Fight of the Year contender against Abdullah Mason in Saudi Arabia back in November, losing a close decision in a terrific contest.
The Kent, England puncher is now 17-1 (15 KOs) and will box again on a bill at York Hall in Bethnal Green in London on May 3. An opponent is yet to be announced, but it is likely that the Queensberry Promotions star will be looking to kickstart his next phase of activity.
The fight with Ohio talent Mason was part of the deep card that included Brian Norman’s defeat to Devin Haney, Jesse Rodriguez, victory over Fernando Martinez and the impressive performance David Benavidez put on against Anthony Yarde.
Noakes, still only 28, has scored wins over the likes of Ryan Walsh and Yvan Mendy.
Top Tier is run by Johnny Clarke and the show will be streamed on DAZN.
"Sam is having a runout on the Top Tier show," said his trainer Bradley Skeete. "Get back in, get a Wi and he's got another big fight after that."
