The former flyweight champion of the World Boxing Association (WBA), Panama's Luis "El Nica" Concepcion returned to training for his next ring appearance. Concepcion is coming back after losing his title in a "fight of the year" effort in April against Mexico's Hernan "Tyson" Marquez. After eleven rounds of war, the fight was stopped after the ringside doctor felt Concepcion's facial injuries were too severe to allow him to continue. The boxer spent some time away from the gym to deal with a few "personal issues"
Concepcion was shadow boxing, jumping rope, working with weights and hitting the heavy bag. All of Concepcion's work was under the supervision of his coach Francisco Arroyo. He will get himself in great condition to ensure that he is ready to fight when his attorney Rogelio Espino sets a date.
