Super welterweight boxer Luis "The Rock" Hernandez (10-1-6 KO's), who is coming off a unanimous decision loss against Golden Boy Promotions prospect Eddie "Boy" Gomez (14-0-9 KO's), has sent a challenge to fellow Puerto Rican John Karl Sosa (7-0, 6 KO's) - and says that he's willing to go down to 150 to face him.
"I'm throwing a challenge to John Karl Sosa. I'm Willing to fight him. He has nothing. If you do not know who I am, I am The Rock, and I'm punching with both hands. If you accept the challenge, you will have to prepare really hard because I'm not easy. I am willing to fight him anytime," expressed Hernandez to portal Split Decision.
But meanwhile Sosa played down the comments by Hernández on his social network account and posted a public message that Hernandez is showing "insane envy."
Sosa, who belongs to Top Rank, may be returning to the ring on June 15 in Texas as part of the Juanma Lopez vs. Mikey Garcia undercard.
