When Marco Romero faces William Langston this Friday, it will be the second fight in 29 days for the 20-year-old super middleweight.

On February 19, Romero stopped the 19-18-2 Vaughn Alexander in the sixth round of their bout in Altamonte Springs, Florida.

This eight-round main event against Langston will take place much closer to home at the Truman Memorial Building in Independence, Missouri, which is located about 20 minutes east of Kansas City. Romero, now 12-0 (11 KOs), lives about 40 minutes away in Olathe, Kansas.

“I’m ready to put on a great performance for all my fans and supporters who will be attending,” Romero said in a press release.

Langston, 14-5-1 (9 KOs), is a 31-year-old from Kenosha, Wisconsin. He was outpointed by the 12-0 Moreno Fendero in November. A month before that, Langston won a unanimous decision against the 9-0 Isaac Carbonell.

“I know he’s tough and has experience,” Romero said. “All I’m focused on is doing my job and having a dominant performance. We’ve been working on a lot of different things fans will see come March 20.”
