Highly regarded heavyweight contender Moses Itauma is set to continue his rapid rise when he takes on Upper Marlboro, Maryland's Mike Balogun on the undercard of Queensberry's Josh Taylor vs. Ekow Essuman bill in Glasgow, Scotland, on May 24.

England's Itauma, who was born in Slovakia, is 11-0 (9 KOs) and touted as the future of the heavyweight division. In his most recent outing he blasted out Demsey McKean in the opening round.

Balogun, 21-1 (16 KOs), is a southpaw like Itauma but looks unlikely to trouble his revered foe. He defeated Trey Lippe, son of Tommy Morrison, inside a round in 2021 but, two years later, was stopped in two rounds by former cruiserweight titlist, Murat Gassiev. He last fought 12 months ago when he outpointed Lamont Capers over eight rounds.
