Swedish light heavyweight Oscar Ahlin defeated Kambis Rahmani of Germany by stoppage in Gothenburg, Sweden, when Rahmani didn't come out for the sixth round, claiming an injured shoulder or arm. Rahmani had been down in the second round and was trailing on points when the end came.
The shorter Rahmani made an aggressive start, but in the second round Ahlin countered with a picture-perfect left hook. Rahmani fell as if he were shot and looked out of it. He somehow got up and was allowed to continue, and then the bell came to his rescue – though he remained unsteady throughout the third.
By now it was Ahlin's fight all the way. Rahmani attacked with big left hooks, but they were almost all blocked while Ahlin countered with sharp hooks to the body. Rahmani could be seen complaining about his right arm in his corner before coming out for the fourth round, and he was losing the fight, so it came as no surprise when he retired.
Ahlin is now 27-2 (21 KOs). Rahmani is now 14-2-1 (11 KOs),
The undercard featured three Sweden vs. Finland fights, and Sweden went 3-0.
Cruiserweight John Salomonsson, now 4-0 (0 KOs), won a hard-fought six-round decision over Elia Juusti, 3-3 (0 KOs). It was scored 59-55 twice and 59-56.
At junior middleweight, Noel Gabor, now 3-0 (3 KOs), floored Rasmus Bergman, 4-2 (2 KOs) twice in the second round for a stoppage at 2.12. Bergman started well but then Gabor found the range for his heavy right, and it was soon over.
Middleweight Adolphe Sylva, now 3-0-1 (1 KO), stopped Jamil Elo, 4-2-1 (2 KOs), in the fifth round of a scheduled six-rounder.
In the show’s opener, an all-Swedish fight, middleweight Yousef Adou moved to 1-0-1 (0 KOs) with a points win over debutant John Jeppsson Rudell.
