According to junior welterweight contender Pablo Cesar Cano (23-1-1, 18KOs), the 22-years-old boxer is moving his career at a proper pace to reach another title shot. Ranked at number 6 by the WBC, Cano wants to reach another title shot in due time. The belt is currently held by undefeated Danny Garcia.

Cano received a world of experience when he entered the ring against former four division world champion Erik Morales last September. Cano came in on late notice to face the veteran for the vacant WBC crown. After a very strong effort, he began take punishment and the fight was stopped in ten rounds.

He returned in February to stop Francisco Contreras in six rounds. Cano is not happy with his recent outings and wants to do better in the ring.

"I'm working hard because I didn't like my performances in my last two fights. In Cancun, against Francisco Contreras, it did not go beyond the sixth but the fight did not go as expected. In the other case, I lost against Erik Morales but that was due to my [lack of] maturity [as a fighter]. My best performances have yet to come," Cano said.
