Italian Pamela Noutcho Sawa, 9-0 (2 KOs), meets Argentinian Brenda Karen Carabajal, 18-6-1 (9 KOs) on November 7 at the classic Palasport in Bologna in Italy with the vacant IBO and the IBF Intercontinental lightweight titles at stake.
The event is promoted by Mario Loreni's Promo Boxe Italia and Bolognina Boxe.
Sawa won the then vacant EBU crown earlier this year by beating Martina Righi but never defended the title. Before that, she outscored Englishwoman Jordan Barker Porter to win the EBU Silver belt.
As for Carabajal, her last fight dates back to 2023 but it is noteworthy that four out of her last five fights have been for one world title or another and she held the WBO interim belt 2022-23.
