Frontiers of Flight Museum, Dallas, Texas - Undefeated hometown prospect Ray Ximenez (13-0, 4KO) blasted out former sparring partner Eric Anton (4-3, 1KO) in the third round of a schedule eight in their battle for the Texas featherweight title to benefit the Ring of Hope Boxing Club.
Ximenez was landing his money punch, the overhand right, with few issues. He put Anton down hard in the second, and followed that up again in the third round with another big right to knock Ximenez down again for the finish.
Anton was his own worst enemy by standing in close and choosing to exchange. He made the 23-year-old Ximenex, who had three knockouts coming in, appear like a power hitter with big shots finding the mark.
