Big Bear, California - In what is being agreed upon by boxing experts as a sure-fire, barn burner of a fight, Welterweight contender Jesus ''Renuente'' Soto-Karass 26-7-3 (17KOs) will be taking on former WBA Super lightweight KO artist, Argentina's Marcos ''Chino'' Maidana 31-3 (28KOs) on September 15th at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. In Maidana, Karass will be taking on a fighter much like him, a fighter who almost never takes a step back, pressures and loves a good shoot-out of a fight, with styles to match. We're talking about Maidana here, this ain't no damn tune up. Skill wise both fighters are pretty even.
I would not be surprised if Karass beat Maidana..What weight is this being fought at??

¿Top form? ¿Really? He looks the same as he did when he got KO'd by Rosado & in his 2 looses to Mike Jones(which in the 1st he couldn't even take out an extremely exhausted Jones who ran out if gas in 1st round)& in his lost to Alfonso Gomez..I don't see anything special or different.
Takes a lot of sacrificing and hard work to arrive in "top form" so I wouldn't knock the guy. Yeah, maybe that is his top form as u compared to his KO loss and others. Nobody is saying "top form" is synonymous with unbeatable. We know that. I do however appreciate when fighters actually do all the hard work and show up ready. We've seen way too many cases when they don't. Gonzalez being the latest example just this past weekend

People make Maidana out to be a bum...... he's only lost convincingly 1 once, after getting clinched 100 times..
