Uncasville, Conn. - Heavyweight Mariusz Wach crushed Kevin McBride with a one-punch knockout at the Mohegan Sun Arena. With one straight right hand to the chin, the 31-year-old Wach of North Bergen, NJ by way of Krakow, Poland dropped McBride to the canvas, calling an immediate halt to the bout. McBride was unconscious before he hit the floor and left the ring on a stretcher. The time of knockout was 2:25 of the fourth round. Wach, now 25-0 (13 KO), earned the vacant WBC International heavyweight title with the victory. I've never bought into the whole "this era is the weakest ever" stuff, but if Wach gets a title shot based on that fight then I might just change my tune. Course, it wouldn't be the first time an inexperience and relatively untalented fighter fought for a world title, but I hold Wlad to higher standards than that.
Please. Wach is at least as worthy as Sosnowski.

Teenage George Foreman taking on the best Soviet HW in the world, Ionas Chapulis.
Joe Frazier taking on the best Soviet HW in the world, Vadim Yemelyanov. He broke his thumb halfway through this fight.
Please, please people. Stop with these incorrect statements. The best Soviet HWs did fight guys like Foreman and Frazier, and when Frazier and Foreman were still pre-prime.
Lol, at Steak for the pure ownage of a biased bigot!! Nicely played! :fing02:

I dont know man, I doubt the HW's in the past could handle the East European giants.
Lets be honest African Americans in the past only fought other African Americans . If soviet boxers were allowed to go pro nobody would have known who Ali, Foreman, ... were.

now when the Soviets are allowed to turn pro all the African Americans get the **** beating out of them like back in the slave days.
So what makes you think same wouldnt happen 40 years ago.
Just face it bro, Soviet boxers are far more superior intelectually and physically than African Americans.
You didn't address either point, just threw out more conjecture outlined with a racist agenda. Typical!
