DETROIT – The ring size for Sunday’s fights in Detroit, Michigan, will be much smaller than normal.

The normal ring size is 20 feet by 20 feet. The ring at Little Caesars Arena will be just 16 feet by 16 feet.

That will apply for the main event – the rematch between Claressa Shields and Franchon Crews-Dezurn – and of course all of the undercard bouts supporting it.

Shields, 17-0 (3 KOs), is the self-proclaimed “GWOAT”, or Greatest Woman of All Time. She won two Olympic gold medals and has earned world titles in five weight classes, which includes being a four-time undisputed champion in three divisions.

She will be defending the undisputed heavyweight championship against Crews-Dezurn. Their rematch comes more than nine years after both women battled in what was the pro debut for each, back in late 2016; Shields won via a four-round shutout.

Thereafter, Crews-Dezurn, 10-2 (2 KOs), went on to become the undisputed champ at 168lbs. She lost that throne to Savannah Marshall in 2023, but Marshall was later stripped of two of her titles, which Crews-Dezurn regained following a unanimous decision win over Shadasia Green in 2023 (Marshall subsequently lost the IBF and WBO titles to Green in July 2025).
