Cruiserweight prospect Scott Forrest gets a step up of sorts when he tackles Deevorn Miller on the undercard of the January 11 Callum Simpson-Steed Woodhall bill at the Park Community Arena in Sheffield, England.
Edinburgh, Scotland's Forrest, 6-0 (3 KOs), is 30 years old but has struggled for momentum since turning over in 2022 following a solid amateur career that saw him compete in two Commonwealth Games (2014 and 2018) and the 2019 World Championships.
Miller, 29 and from London, has won eight of his 10 professional outings with the only losses coming to Lewis Oakland. The pair clashed as debutants in 2022, won over four by Oakland, before meeting again in a 10-round Commonwealth title eliminator last October. Oakland again got the nod on the cards. Miller's bout against Forrest is set for eight.
Also featuring on the Boxxer-promoted event, which will be broadcast by Sky Sports and Peacock, is Caroline Dubois taking on Jessica Camara for the vacant WBC lightweight title.
