Former WBC Flyweight World Champion, Sonny Boy Jaro, looks to bounce back from his controversial split decision loss to Toshiyuki Igarashi last July against former World Champion and current WBC Silver flyweight champion Edgar Sosa on October 10 in Mexico. This confirmed to this scribe by Jaro's manager Aljoe Jaro.
The 30-year-old Jaro will also have revenge on his mind against Sosa, who decisioned him in September of 2009 in a fight wherein he scored knockdown in the 9th round. "I didn't learn my lesson," Jaro joked when asked about fighting Sosa again.
Modesty and humor aside, Jaro is much improved and better prepared compared to the fighter that he was when he first fought Sosa. Snagging Sosa's WBC Silver belt puts Jaro back in contention for the WBC flyweight crown and give him the rematch he wants against Igarashi.
