Veteran Krzysztof Włodarczyk and Adam Balski will meet for the right to be WBC bridgerweight titleholder Kevin Lerena's mandatory challenger.

For the 44-year Wlodarczyk, Balski is his first fight in close to 18 months. He was once the WBC cruiserweight champion, eventually losing the title to Grigory Drozd. He then continued his career but was knocked out by Murat Gassiev in a fight for the IBF cruiser crown.

Wlodarczyk has since won 12 straight fights – all at cruiserweight. In Balski, he fights a 34-year-old who turned pro during “Diablo’s” reign as WBC champ. He has won four contests since losing to Alen “The Savage” Babic in London in 2022.

Lerena most recently knocked out Serhiy Radchenko in the third round in front of a home crowd in South Africa.
