As previously reported on BoxingScene.com, Wilfredo 'Papito' Vazquez (24-5-1, 19 KOs), former WBO super bantamweight world champion, will be active on December 5 in Kissimmee, Florida, and will fight for a FECARBOX featherweight championship against Mexican contender Rafael Rivera (20-0-2 and 14 KO's).

Vazquez is returned from a June loss, where he was stunned by unanimous decision at Barclays Center in New York City to underdog Fernando Vargas (29-9-3 and 20 KO's). It was Vazquez's second defeat in three fights and his career is certainly on the line in the upcoming return.

Rivera has not beaten anyone of note, mostly overwhelming overmatched opponents in Mexico and has not gone beyond eight rounds. He saw action last month when he defeated unbeaten Ruben Garcia with an eight round decision.
