Vergil Ortiz Jnr set a violent tone for the next big fight to be made in the sport.
The unbeaten WBC interim 154lbs titlist made quick work with Erickson Lubin, whom Ortiz stopped in the 2nd round of their DAZN main event Saturday evening from Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. Immediately after the fight, Ortiz called for Jaron "Boots" Ennis to join him in the ring, to spark an instant and enthusiastic buzz over the prospects of an early 2026 showdown.
