A lightweight fight between Alan Abel Chaves and Miguel Madueno has been announced as the chief supporting bout for the heavyweight main event of Jarrell Miller vs Lenier Pero.

The show, promoted by Matchroom Boxing, will take place April 25 at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas in Nevada and will stream on DAZN.

This is Chaves’ first fight with Matchroom after signing with the company earlier this week. A 25-year-old from Argentina, Chaves is 21-0 (18 KOs) and has scored four straight stoppages, including a four-round TKO of the 32-7-1 Freddy Fonseca last July and a 57-second drubbing of the 24-3 Pablo Vicente in October.

Chaves is currently ranked No. 2 by the WBO, No. 6 by the IBF and No. 13 by the WBC.

“Signing with Matchroom is a crucial step in my professional career,” Chaves was quoted as saying in a press release. “I’m highly motivated and eager to make a name for myself in the world of boxing. I’m very grateful to be part of the world’s No. 1 promotional company.”

Madueno, 31-4 (28 KOs), is a 27-year-old from Mexico and living in California. He has dropped three of his past four and is not currently rated in the top 15 by any of the four major sanctioning bodies.

Madueno was widely outpointed by the 36-7-2 Steve Claggett in November 2023; took a split decision over the 17-1 Justin Pauldo in February 2024; was nearly shut out by Keyshawn Davis in July 2024; and, in his most recent outing, was stopped in the seventh round by Oscar Duarte in February 2025.

Despite that, Chaves said he is expecting a tough fight.

“Madueno is a very experienced and dangerous opponent who has fought against some big-name boxers,” Chaves said. “I’m in the best shape of my life – both physically and mentally. As always, I’ll give it my all in the ring, and I have no doubt that I’ll come away with the victory.”

Other televised matches include a junior middleweight fight between Freudis Rojas, 15-0 (11 KOs), and Damian Sosa, 26-3 (13 KOs); and a junior featherweight bout pitting Angel Barrientes, 14-1 (9 KOs), against Isaac Rojas Garcia, 18-0-1 (12 KOs).

Preliminary bouts will include bantamweight Phillip Vella, 5-0 (2 KOs), against Edwin Rodriguez, 12-10-3 (5 KOs); junior middleweight Nishant Dev, 5-0 (3 KOs), a 2024 Olympian, against Juan Carlos Guerra Jnr, 6-2-1 (2 KOs); and featherweight Jorge Ruiz, 3-0 (2 KOs), against Harley Laws Jnr, 2-0-1 (2 KOs).
