Justin Figueroa and Luis Caraballo both made weight for their eight-round fight headlining a card on Saturday night at Tropicana Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Both Figueroa, 14-0 (11 KOs), and Caraballo, 8-8-1 (8 KOs), weighed in at 159lbs for their fight, which will be promoted by Boxing Insider Promotions.
The 27-year-old Figueroa, a growing attraction in his hometown of Atlantic City, will be kicking off his year with a fight against the 32-year-old Caraballo, a native of Puerto Rico who was on a bad streak of losing eight of his previous nine before knocking out the 5-0 Adrian Valdez Reyes in the first round last month.
Josh Popper, a 32-year-old from nearby Somers Point, New Jersey, will try to improve on his 5-0 (5 KOs) record when he faces West Virginia's Dillon Pumphrey, 1-1 (1 KO), in a four-round heavyweight fight. Popper, a former high school and college football standout, came in at 235lbs while Pumphrey checked in at a career-high 330lbs.
Lia Lewandowski, 3-0 (1 KO), of Berlin, New Jersey, came in at 115lbs for her six-round bout with Indeya Rodriguez, 6-8-3 (1 KO), who was 114lbs.
Other weights from the card are as follows:
Jacob Riley Solis (165lbs) vs Jeremy Ramos (165lbs)
John Leonardo (122lbs) vs Edgar Joe Cortes (122lbs)
Julio Sanchez III (139lbs) vs Christopher Williams (139lbs)
