Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City - WBA featherweight champion Yuriorkis Gamboa (20-0, 16KOs) demolished former champion Jorge Solis (40-3, 29KOs) in four rounds. It was the first knockout loss for Solis since a TKO defeat to Manny Pacquiao. Gamboa lost his IBF title on the scale after failing to make weight for the IBF's secondary weigh-in which requires the boxer to remain within ten pounds of the division limit.
