Las Vegas - Roy Jones Jr. Boxing has just announced the signing of Mexican amateur heavyweight sensation Edgar Ramirez from Mexico City, Mexico to an exclusive promotional contract.
Edgar Alberto Ramirez Vargas compiled an impressive amateur record of 90-5. In an amateur career that started at 9-yrs old, Edgar was a 4x Mexican National Champion from 2011-2014 and Silver medalist in the Central America and Caribbean Games and also competed in the WSB.
At the prime age of 20-yrs old and at 6'3, 235lbs Edgar will definitely have the international experience advantage over fighters his same age. Edgar was undefeated in Mexico as an amateur, his 5 losses came only in international competition.
